Katie anchors her work in the experiences and relationships she has with people with disabilities. In her current role at IDHD, Katie provides education, training, and resources on various topics which include enhancing the direct support workforce, self-directed supports for people with disabilities, supporting healthy relationships for people with intellectual disabilities, and the sibling experience. Katie currently serves on the Board of the Arc of Illinois as well as the Illinois chapter of the American Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She is also involved in Access Living's Youth Advisory Board and the Young Women's Leadership Council of the Chicago Foundation for Women.
