Kate Caldwell, MA
Research Assistant
Ms. Caldwell is a Research Assistant on the Consumer-Direct Support study.
She is also a PhD student in the Disability Studies Program here at UIC. Her
research interests are in the area of intellectual disabilities,
particularly adults. Other interests include participatory action research,
narratives and anti-narratives, social entrepreneurism, inter-personal and
intra-personal attitudes and perceptions, optimism and coping mechanisms,
family coping and social support, chronic pain and particularly chronic
periods of acute pain.
